Molecular Cancer Biology and Therapy Researches

The lab diagnoses and distinguishes tumors as a state of genetic instability and genetic sequential creation that changes the functions of many different molecules and networks within a single cell as well as changes in interaction with the surrounding environment. The application of biology to cancer systems is based on the use of computer and mathematical methods and means to decode complex tumors in addition to cancer mismatches. Cancer research has identified dangerous cancer genes or inactive tumor genes in cancer causes.

Research Areas

The Research Lab is concerned with conducting research in the following areas

Tumor Development

Identify the functional SNPs and transcript variants and understanding the transcription mechanism that regulate tumor development and metastasis in Cancer with especial references to Ovarian and Colorectal Cancer.

Novel Biomarker,

Whole transcriptome analysis studies to identify novel biomarker, potential drug target in Ovarian and Colorectal Cancer.

SNPs

tudy the functional SNPs and their effect on the Multi-Drug Resistance Genes (MDR) expression in order to establish correlation with chemotherapeutic response outcome in ovarian cancer patients.

Epigenetic

Identifying the functional contribution of epigenetic in cancer development and treatment response and improve the epigenetic anticancer drug delivery using nanoparticles encapsulation.

Services

The laboratory provides a number of diverse services as well as training and assistance to bachelor's and graduate students as follows:

Cycle Sequencing & Analysis

Cycle & Automated DNA sequencing, western blot analysis, Single Cell Next Generation Sequencing & data analysis

Genomic

Genomic Deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA) extraction, Ribonucleic acid(RNA) isolation

Cell culture

Process by which real nucleus and primitive nucleus are developed under controlling conditions

PCR
