The unit is concerned with the detection and identification of toxic compounds and addictive substances that could be found in either the human body or in the environment, using advanced technology in chromatography and mass spectrometry.

The unit is committed to scientific advancement in the field of toxicology research and the publication of research with content that helps in improving the lives of the individual in Saudi society and the detection of toxic substances that may be exposed to humans in a scientifically studied manner, and we also seek to provide diagnostic services in the field of medical toxins.
