وحدة الغذاء والتغذية ونمط الحياة
تهدف الوحدة إلى تطوير مفهوم علاقة الأمراض المختلفة بالنمط الغذائي: من حيث كمية ونوع الاستهلاك ونمط الحياة وذلك عن طريق القيام بأبحاث في هذا المجال، وعمل الدراسات التدخلية للوقاية وتقليل خطر الإصابة بالأمراض المتعلقة بالتغذية ونمط الحياة، كما تعمل على تطوير منتجات غذائية جديدة ذات فوائد صحية باستخدام المواد الخام المتوفرة محلياً.
تعمل الوحدة على نشر الأبحاث الموثوقة وإيصال تلك النتائج إلى المسؤولين وصناع القرار والطلبة. واستمالة طلاب وطالبات الطب والعلوم الصحية والدراسات العليا للقيام بأبحاث في مجال الغذاء التغذية ونمط الحياة وتأثيرهم على الصحة.
