Unit's Performance:
  • that provides diagnostic, research and training services in the highly specialized field of electron microscopy technology and ultrastructural studies. The facility provides services to all hospital departments and to all researchers from KAU as well as other institutes. The unit is able to advice users on many aspects of electron microscopy techniques and applications.

  • Unit is committed to training students College of Applied Medical Sciences on the program of excellence for the fifth year and material optional for the fourth year, as well as special training program for non-students and students in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, according to available and receive all requests for research or training an unit-mail where they are studying the application and thencommunicate with the user to complete the administrative procedures

The Future Aspirations Of The Unit:
  • The unit will be the leader in training specialists with degrees to hold positions in other electron microscopy units.

  • The electron microscopy unit at King Fahad medical research center will be the leader, in the western region, in ultrastructural diagnosis and research for the different subspecialities.
